Can you use the BIG Shiny Balls more than once?

Absolutely! Our balls are crafted for repeated use. You can deflate our balloons using the provided pump and conveniently fold and store them away in a box or plastic bin. When you're ready for more fun, simply unfold and re-inflate them.

Proper care is essential for the longevity of your balloons. Avoid overinflation to prevent straining and potential bursting. Instead, inflate your balloons just until they feel firm to the touch.

What does it cost to ship my BIG Shiny Balls?

How fast can I get my BIG Shiny Balls?

Each balloon is made-to-order with durable materials. We process each order in 4-7 business days. Once ready, shipping time will be based on each carrier. Usually within 4-10 business days, depending on your location.

Do I need to purchase a pump for the BIG Shiny Balls?

Yes, the BSB Pump is crucial for inflating and deflating the BIG Shiny Balls correctly. They have a special valve, a normal pump will not work with these balls.

How do I clean my BIG Shiny Balls?

Cleaning your BIG Shiny Balls is super easy and helps extend the life of your ball. You may use water and a paper towel to clean the balls before and after use. We also recommend using a spray polish to clean them and make them extra reflective. Please follow the instructions on the bottle.

Do the Big Shiny Balls have hooks to secure them in place?

Yes. Our Big Shiny Balls are specially designed with D-Rings so you can easily attach them to the ground, ceiling, or each other using zip ties or ropes (not included).

Why is there a hole in my ball next to the valve?

Don't worry, your ball is meant to have the hole on the outer layer as part of the inflating process. The two layers are not connected and the hole is meant to let out the air between the two layers while inflating. Please DO not cover it.

What temperatures are suitable for Big Shiny Balls?

Our Big Shiny Balloons are built to withstand a wide range of temperatures, from as low as -20°C (-4°F) up to 45°C (113°F). Nevertheless, it is essential to adhere to specific guidelines to preserve the integrity of your balloons under varying conditions:

In hot weather or direct sunlight, the balloons may expand (remember: air expands when heated and detracts when cooled). To prevent over-expansion, avoid inflating them to their full capacity. Regularly check for firmness; if your balloon feels too hard, release some air until the surface is firm yet flexible.

During cold weather, while it is safe to display the balloons outdoors, we advise against inflating or deflating them in such conditions. Doing so in extreme cold may potentially damage the balloons.

Significant temperature fluctuations may cause the balloons to wrinkle when they cool and require additional air. Similarly, you may need to release some air as temperatures rise.

How do I know when the balls are fully inflated?

To correctly inflate your BIG Shiny Balls, use the pump until they are firm to the touch but still offer some flexibility. Be cautious not to over inflate, which can be indicated if the balloon becomes overly hard. A well-inflated balloon should have its wrinkles, especially around the seams, mostly disappear. If you still notice some wrinkles along the seams, it's safe to add a little more air. However, it's important to keep checking the firmness to ensure you're not over inflating the balloon.

Why does my ball deflate the moment I remove the pump?

All our BIG Shiny Balls come with an adjustable valve that regulates the flow of air. When the valve is open, air can move in both directions, leading to potential deflation when the pump is removed. However, once the valve is closed, it becomes one-way, preventing the air from escaping.

There are two types of valves on our balloons. If your valve has a white button, simply push it in to close the valve. If your valve is grey, it needs to be pushed in and then given a 1/4 turn to secure it. Once the valve is correctly adjusted, your balloon should remain inflated even after you remove the pump.

Why did my ball become wrinkled a day after inflating it?

There could be two potential reasons for this.

First, it could be due to a significant drop in temperature. When it becomes colder, the air inside the balloon contracts, which might result in the balloon appearing wrinkled.

Secondly, it's possible that the balloon's valve may not have been fully tightened after inflation. We provide a special tool (looks like a wrench) with each pump that fits into the valve and can be used to tighten it securely.

In either case, adding a bit more air until the balloon feels firm again should resolve the issue. Always remember to handle your Big Shiny Balls with care and ensure the valve is properly secured to maintain the longevity of your balloon.

Can I place my BIG Shiny Balls in water?

Yes! Our BIG Shiny Balls are designed to be versatile and water-friendly. You can certainly enjoy them as floating decorations in a pool. If you prefer them to stay in a specific spot and not drift around, you can attach a weight to the D-ring(s).

How many times can I reuse my BIG Shiny Balls?

With appropriate care and handling, your Big Shiny Balls are designed for multiple uses. We've had some of our balls for years and we use them everyday. Key to prolonging their lifespan is avoiding over-inflation and preventing damage to the outer shell. Their durability and reusability are part of what makes our Big Shiny Balls a great investment.

How do I deflate my BIG Shiny Balls?

There are two methods to safely deflate your BIG Shiny Balls, depending on how quickly you'd like to do so:

1) Slow Method: Simply open the one-way valve (either by pushing or twisting, depending on your valve type) and leave the balloon alone for a couple of hours. Over time, the ball should gradually release air and deflate fully.

2) Fast Method: Position the ball so that the valve is on the side. Switch the pump hose to the larger side, and connect it as though you were going to inflate the balloon. But this time, the pump will draw the air out. As the balloon begins to deflate, continue running the pump. Once the ball is flat, fold it like a large cigar from one side to the other, with the valve at the far end. After this, fold the deflated ball as you would a bedsheet, moving from the back towards the valve. This helps to push any remaining air towards the valve and out of the balloon. Once fully deflated, leave the valve in the open position.

How long do the Big Shiny Balls stay inflated?

Our Big Shiny Balls are unmatched and can stay inflated for weeks to months. They feature a special locking mechanism paired with high quality and durable PVC and mylar.

How do I store my Big Shiny Balls safely for long-term use?
Big Shiny Balls are easily deflated with the BSB Pump. Then, you may then fold them like a bed sheet or roll them to make them very small.

To keep them from opening up after folding, we wrap them with a clear wrap film with a handle a couple of times around each ball so the ball stays compressed and folded. We recommend storing them in a plastic bin or box with a lid to keep them safe.

What happens if my BIG Shiny Balls get damaged?

Dealing with a damaged a ball depends on the nature of the damage. The outer layer of our BIG Shiny Balls tends to be more delicate than the inner layer.

1) Minor nicks or tears: These can often be fixed using clear packing tape. Simply cover the damaged area with the tape to seal it. This is also a useful preventive measure if you notice a seam beginning to peel up.

2) Seam splits: These usually occur due to overinflation. If this happens, deflate the ball, apply double-sided tape along the seam, align the edges properly, and then re-inflate. Although this might not be a permanent solution, it should allow you to get a few more uses out of your ball.

Always remember to avoid overinflation, it can significantly extend the life of your BIG Shiny Balls.

Can I display the BIG Shiny Balls outdoors?

Yes, all the colors except Black Shiny Balls are suitable for outdoor use. However, be mindful if they will be exposed to direct sunlight or high temperatures, as this can cause the balloons to expand (remember: air expands and decreases with high or low temperature changes). If overinflated during these conditions, there is a risk of the seams splitting due to the additional pressure.

To avoid this, always check the firmness of your balls in hot weather and/or at the hottest time of the day. If the balloon feels hard, release some air until it regains its flexibility when you press against it.

Note: Black Shiny Balls will pop in extreme heat or direct sunlight. Please only use them indoors or in a covered location away from sunlight.

Can I hang my BIG Shiny Balls?

Yes, you can hang your. balls provided they're not larger than the 6 ft. The balls get heavy with size and the D-rings may not hold the weight over long periods of time.  Please follow all the safety rules at your location. Big Shiny Balls is not liable for any damage from user error.

We leave this up to you the user to decide on the duration, location, and hanging mechanism. If you do hang them, make sure you string through all the D-rings on the sphere for even weight distribution. For example, if a ball has 3 D-rings, make sure your string goes through all of them before attaching. This will ensure the sphere is securely fastened and evenly balanced.

Can you add Vinyl lettering and branding to the Balls?

Good news and bad news. Bad news is we don't provide this service.

Good news is the Balls take vinyls very well, and they are easy to get at most print shops (like FedEx). You may print logos, designs, or anything you'd like. Since the surface is curved you sometimes need to cut the vinyls up into smaller pieces for placement. Please print regular cut vinyls.
